Scotch Drinkers, I need a good cheap scotch

If your willing to spend 40 you can get a bottle of Macallan 10. For 20 bucks youre going to have to go blended. Dewars or grouse.

I'm a Dewar's man myself. You can get a handle (with an actual handle) for sub 40. A fifth will run you about 20.


Quick CSB- My local liquor store is run by Achmed. Dude has an uncanny memory of what you buy. Once I bought a Red Bull, a box of Marlboro lights and a handle of Charter. Every handle of Charter I bought after that he would ask (in Mid East speak) "what no Red Bull? No Marlboro light?". Anyway I bought Dewar's there quite often. One particular time I went though and he was out of Dewar's. He hates to be out of anything that somebody wants, and begged forgiveness with an explanation that the truck was running tomorrow. I told him no biggy, I would come back tomorrow and procure my Dewars. I leave the store and walk out to my truck. As I am opening my door I hear him run out yelling (in Mid East speak) "Wait! Wait! I have da bird! I have da bird!"

"You have what?" (redneck speak)
"Da bird! You know da big bird! I have it!"
"What da frick is da bird Achmed?"
"You know the bottle has da big bird! On the bottle, big bird. I no have Dewar's but I have da bird!"

Long story less long, Achmed talked me into buying my first handle of Famous Grouse. I liked it. If you can't find Dewar's, you can always get Da Bird.
