Started the season shooting a doe and a little 3 point during bow season but have struck out since.. Now that I'm home for break I've spent the past 7 days in the woods.
Been hunting a stand I put up about a mile down the creek that runs through our property. Seeing nice bucks but just not getting a shot off...
Hopped in the canoe around 11 this morning and not 100 yards down the creek he jumps up and runs into the woods. Stops at 20 yards and I took him.. Saved me from sitting in the stand all afternoon
Hunting Central FL private land.

It's even cooler that you canoe'd it out of the woods, like a good little Indian.

That'll eat...... what dud you shot him with? I love the stealthiness if a canoe.

Y'all's property is a mile in length or your trespassing?

6000 acres. And it's a windy creek.
Shot with .270 Ruger M77

It's funny my brother shot an 8 point four days ago out of the same canoe. Damn near same part of the creek.

Lake county. North end. Pretty easy drive from Gainesville for the weekends when I'm at school!

I've never hunted from a canoe. Looks awesome. It's badass really.
