No, he won't.

In 2-3 more years, Petrino will most definitely land a bigger job. I love how it's majority butthurt Arky fans who are vehemently denying this . Programs get desperate from time to time. Why not take a shot on ol' Bob? Especially when you could get him for pennies on the dollar

He didn't just have an affair. He lied to police, to the school, he used his power to get his fling a job, used school money to pay her more than she was worth, bought her a car, etc etc

Because his affair is a child's play offense when compared to the nepotism of hiring her with state funds. THAT is the problem. You can't put that type of person back into a big school with that kind of record, especially when there will be a half dozen other good coaches without that tarnish on their record up for the job.

It isn't about the affair people.

From the Sugar Bowl to the cellar within three years. I can't lie, it'd be tough to deal with for sure. I've gotta tip my cap for riding out the storm

If that's an Ole Miss jab congrats on beating a 4-8, 2-10 squad..? I'm not flaming the Hogs. Believe me, I've seen some of the worst football ever played at my university within the last 4 years.

That alone wouldn't have gotten him fired.

What the eff are you talking about?

I've done nothing but cite facts and provide rational arguments. "DURRRRR HE'S A GOOD COACH" is hardly a legitimate argument. There's a ton of baggage there if you're not myopic.
