Mike Shula is someone that deserves an HC job somewhere based on his recovery from the UA fall.

Ed Orgeron deserves another shot after getting Pac 12 coach of the year as an interim.

Lane Kiffin may not yet deserve another shot but he will get one because of his experience at his age.

How can Chizik not get another shot, he has a natty?

What about Zook?

Honorable mention to those former SEC HC who landed on their feet: Tommy Tubberville, David Cutlciff, and Urban Meyer.

You'd think a historically middling program would take him and be happy with the 8 win seasons he could bring in on talent alone.

Yep forgot about him. He is probably not going anywhere anytime soon due his age. How is he doing at Texas St anyway?

I would welcome this, so long as it got him out of Carolina. The offense has taken a major step back since he took over.

What is Mike Price doing these days? Wasn't he coaching at UTEP?

I guess he counts but he never signed his contract. He evidently signed alot of bar tabs.

Illinois is kicking themselves, and hard after letting him go. He can recruit...and coach em up, but not too much. As long as you don't expect more than 7-8 wins with an occasional bad year sprinkled in he's a fit.

Id love Purdue to go out and hire him.

Dude, I am not saying he needs another SEC gig but come on. If the man has a ring on his finger, CUSA or some other conference bound to have a school needing a coach?

Because he's freaking 38-38 as a head coach, and that's with a 14-0 season thanks to Cam/Gus.

Without that season, he's 24-38 overall and 9-31 in conference play.

EDIT -- If you're talking about a gig at any level, he might end up getting a job at a lower tier school someday, but not at the BCS conference level.

Yeah, that is all I am saying. The man needs a shot somewhere. If nothing else he is a great DC.

I just doubt he'd take a coordinator gig given that he has a ring.

I see him at a non-AQ school before stooping to be a DC.

I could see him rehab his image at a major school as a DC, Texas would do well to make him apart of the deal as DC. How about Mike Gundy as HC and Gene as DC at Texas?
