The toast has 120 cal, the slaw has 33. I don't think 87 calories is going to make a giant difference in a your waistline unless you eat it 3 times a day.

Probably that you're not overly worried about your waistline if you're eating a meal with over 1000 calories already.

I think you must be misreading the OP and the comment.

OP says, what am I missing out on.

R2R says a smaller waist line. Meaning if he ate the slaw instead of the other things which are more calorie dense, he would have a smaller waste line.
