IMO it's very damn close. I think AJ adjusts to deep balls better than Dez, or maybe it's just knee jerk after Jefferey's past few weeks??? But if someone told me Dallas made a trade straight up involving these 2, I wouldn't be pissed, I'll just say that.

Alshon Jeffery vs. Josh Gordon would be a good debate as well.

I'd take Dez. But Alshon isn't a slouch

Granted I don't watch every Chicago game like I do Dallas, but it appears as if AJ doesn't make half as many mental mistakes either.

And agreed, Josh Gordon is a worthy comparison.

No

Alshon is playing great but Gordon is on another level

Gordon has 200 more yards and more TDs despite playing 2 less games. He is averaging 122 yards a game with Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell throwing to him and the defense focusing on him.

if you want to put Alshon ahead of AJ you have to put Gordon ahead of Megatron (presumably both are on the basis of this year and especially recent results).

Gordon is doing it with a lesser quarterback with a lesser supporting cast to take pressure off of his coverages.

I'm not saying Alshon>Gordon, but to play devil's advocate, Alshon has had McCown throwing to him the past few weeks and Marshall takes away A LOT of his targets.

why you would you put alshon over aj or gordon over megatron on the basis of this year? neither of those make any sense

He also takes A LOT of double teams which opens things up for Alshon

dez prob has more raw skill, but seriously, who would you rather have on your team? Alshon doesnt cause trouble, is soft spoken, team first guy and has better hands.

i like dez, been routing for him, but alshon isnt the mess upstairs that dez is.

Alshon has had about a good 2nd NFL year as a WR is going to have. He just makes play after play. When Cutler figures this out, the Bears are going to explode offensively.

Neither. He is < Dez and it's not really close. In a year or two though, he could be better. Also Marshall is still the top dog on the Bears so Alshon doesn't get the coverage that Dez does.

Network made sure that dez was seen leaving the field, and his team by himself. A nice talent, but a major headcase.

I agree that Dez is better, but its def close.Plus, Dez attitude out there is just flat out horrible. His talent level is awesome, but his attitude hurts him a lot.

And hes top 25 in the league this year in drops.

Hes a freak and a rare talent, but he could be so much better by just having a better attitude. Better player, but the bigger problem / cancer in the locker room.

I'm with you on that point. He's another TO, Ocho Cinco, etc.

I think Alshon is good but he is definitely benefiting from playing across from Marshall. Marshall draws a lot of coverage.
