Anyone been or know much about the area. The trail is 42 miles. A buddy of mine and I are going to do moody landing to fairly bridge landing. Hike about 30 miles in 3 days.
Any advice? TIA

Pack more booze than you think you need. I always seem to run out.

It is an extremely easy trail. Used to hike it all the time before Katrina. I know it was closed for quite a while for maintenance after katrina. 30 miles in 3 days will be easy if the trail is blazed well. I never had any issues parking cars at either Moodys nor Fairley bridge.

Did 5 miles from hwy 29 trail head going southeast last month. Trail was great. Not sure about the rest. Should be fun.

Bring a filter so you won't need to bing much water.

Yes. The brush can be thick right next to the trail. But there is a really nice site 5 miles southeast from the hwy 29 trailhead. Even has a privy(just a toilet seat nailed to some limbs). But is nice to have for morning prayer.

We were with a group of 30 scouts and 15 adults or so. Had plenty room right next to beaver dam creek. Half were in hammocks. But over 10 tents setup.
