Harbuagh, who is the third year of a five-year, $25 million contract signed in 2011, turned down a two-year extension with the 49ers during the offseason, according to Jim Trotter of Sports Illustrated. Turning down such an offer doesn’t exactly mean he’s interested in the Texas’ job or even that he’s looking to leave the 49ers, but it does only further add to the speculation surrounding his future.

My source told me that a harbrah is a possible candidate at UT. He practically painted it out.

Brady on the hot seat?

Landing Harbaugh would be an unbelievable coup for the program and for the Big 10 in general. A couple years ago losing Tressel and Paterno's disgrace made the list of big ten coaches somewhat unimpressive.

Bringing in Meyer (yes, a weasel, but a great coach) and then Harbaugh would put two top notch coaches at the head of the top two programs in the Big 10. That would be a notable turnaround.

Jesus man, I am just sharing information. I fully understand Saban might leave Alabama for whatever reason he wants. Hope he stays, but would wish him well if he leaves.

a possible candidate... Technically every human being is a possible candidate. Not probable or likely, but still possible.

I agree, and at 49 years, I might want him over Saban if I were an AD hiring a new coach.

So what you're saying is Saban to the 49'ers now?

If he wanted to try the NFL again, it would have to be a program with a franchise QB in place, or he would no shot at a SB Ring.

Falcons?
