I was cleaning up our fishing camp and came across an autographed sketch titled "Cooling Off" by Percival Rosseau. It was done in 1932 and looks to be in good condition.

Do any of you know what this print is worth? I've looked it up and haven't found much.

I've heard that some of his best oils sell today for as much as $200,000—or more. He was born in 1859 in Pointe Coupe Parish.

Thanks

Google it yet? I am sure there is an art appraiser in the area.

If not try calling the New Orleans museum of art tomorrow, they may be able to point you in the right direction.

You didn't mention the size but looks like a 8x10 was in the $50 buck range at auction last year. One sold for $200 in 2004.

He did have an oil that went for $100,000 back in 2005. Some of his oils go for 5 figures some not.
