"They got the benefit of a few calls."

Yeah Richard, and that probably had something to do with the fact that Seattle's DBs were mugging our receivers all day long. There were at least 3 other no call PIs that I can think of just off the top of my head.

Take your victories when you can, Niners fans.

I really don't get why the refs are so ticky tacky with pass interference except when seattle is playing. I guess they'll have to play the Patriots before the league cares to address it

It seems as if teams get certain reputations for being good at something, and then because of that they get the benefit of the doubt from refs.

Was at a sports bar last night watching the Saints games, surrounded by panthers fans and they bitched on every play and came to the conclusion that the Saints paid the refs. Like the PI committed on Colston where the dude held his arm that was obvious PI/holding.

It's funny, because I can point to the Carolina game to blow up your entire "League favors NE" argument.

Pretty laughable. Ask Justin Smith what he thinks about the Niners getting the benefit of the calls. Okung got called for two if I remember correctly, but he was holding Smith all day.

well some of those holds could have come on plays where wilson ran and as we found out last week there is no holding when wilson runs

It's mind blowing how they get away with their physical play in the secondary.

Replay of any Sherman play: "And Sherman had his man locked down right there." While I'm thinking to myself...holy shite he's beating the frick out of the WR 12 yards down the field.

It happens all the time in almost all of sports, and is a part of the games that takes away from the fun of being a fan.

Holding on offense is a huge one. I mean, if Sherman wants to complain, anyone that isn't blind saw Gallette getting choked on multiple plays while running to the QB with no calls.

Problem for them is they force the referees hands in most games by playing so physical early and refs don't want to start a game out calling a ton of penalties. Problem is that once you set the precedence early on that you'll allow that, you won't call it the rest of the game.

It is why Talib gets away with so much in New England. He plays physical to an extreme from the start and scares the refs from making the call.

In the end, some refs have the balls to call it like it should be, but most don't want to hinder the flow of the game and let too much garbage go.
