Does it really matter.
Outside of BCS games, all the bowls want is to sell tickets and bring fans to spend money in their cities. That's it!

Outside of the BCS, it isnt about win-loss as much as it is about which team can make the bowl the most money.

How many people are excited about watching a Bama-Oklahoma matchup compared to a Bama-Oregon matchup? I bet a lot more people would tune in for the latter than the former.
