What's a time when someone ruined a movie in the theater for you?
Not necessarily them telling you what happened, but just talking during intense scenes, or laughing at things that aren't supposed to be funny... maybe even annoying dbags who pick up their cell phones and someone starts an argument..

Mine was during the Dark Knight.. Opening night, the scene where the joker is hanging his head out the cop car after he broke out of prison.. I thought it was a really intense, chilling scene, but the guy next to me thought it was hilahhhhrious. Laughed a whole bunch and, boom, goosebumps were gone. Ruined it for me.

Whatcha got

The last harry potter. Went and saw on opening night. Big mistake.

Most obnoxious and loudest theatre I've ever been in. Should have just waited for DVD. And I worked at the movies and the opening for Paranormal activity 2 was ridiculously loud and laughter everywhere after a scary moment.

Screaming babies. Haven't gone to anything other than 9pm or later showings in over a decade.

If u live in Nola, go to the Canal Place Theaters. Only admit 21&up. Really good food and booze with in seat service. Its a couple $ more expensive per ticket than normal places but it is worth it to keep up the riff raff and small children.

Pretty strange. Those tend to actually be the best audiences, since they won't put up with retards talking whatsoever. They've been in line for 3 hours waiting for a movie they've been thrilled to see for months, and they'll typically be damned if they're going to let one retard frick it up for the rest of the theater.

Until a group of people over 21 talk the whole time like they are in their own private living room. Sadly, not even Canal Place is immune.

Not to mention, the sounds of riff raff are replaced by servers moving to and fro.

Crappy projectors at Perkins Rowe for Pirates 3. (it was one of the back theaters). I will never go back there. I found out their projectors were from old Tinsel Town. It was like it was raining through the whole movie the projector was so bad.

Person behind me explaining the movie to her friend because her friend had not seen the first movie.

Teenagers clapping whenever katniss kissed peata or shot someone ( Thad).

Took my wife and kids to see The Phantom Menace when it came out. This guy in front of us was basically shitting his pants the entire movie. If I wasn't with my family I would have slapped the hell out of that idiot. Never smelled anything so bad. And to top it off I was so disappointed with the movie.

Trust me, that doesn't stop idiots with children from going. We went to an 11pm movie a while ago and there was a toddler walking up and down the isles

We to see This is the End with the wife. Right as the previews start this guy walks in with 2 kids. One about a 6 y/o boy and the other a 9 or 10 y/o girl. I thought for sure he would realize he was in the wrong theater during the previews. But he sat there and ate his popcorn. Then I though for sure he would pick up and leave after some naked chick did blow off of Micheal Cena's dick. But he just sat there with his kids and ate his popcorn. And he thought he would grad his kids and leave when James Franco and Danny McBride were yelling about cumming all over each other. But he sat there with his popcorn and young children throughout the whole movie.

I felt bad about laughing at some of the jokes right in front of the kids. It completely ruined the experience. I wanted to say something but who am I to tell someone how to raise their kids. It was frustrating.

I have been several times and have never even remotely had a bad experience.

1. U barely notice the servers
2. 21 yr old kids are exponentially more polite and courteous than a group of HS brats

I can't stand when the sound is not loud enough. I've had a few movies that were just way too low and also a couple where they didnt turn out the lights.

Not really any bad movie going experiences. My wife and I always go to the matinee showings on Friday afternoon (4:30-5pm). Usually less than 20 people in the theater and is always enjoyable. I dont think I could stand a jam packed theater.

My bad experience was with someone on this site. He is a notorious spoiler reader.
Anyway we went and saw Book of Eli together. About five minutes into the movie, he leans over and says, "I think Denzel is blind."
I knew he had read the spoilers and it pissed me off. He tired to say he was just guessing, but admitted it after the movie.
Haven't been to the movie with him since.
You know who you are!
