I have about 4. I think I've lost one and panic and order another, then I find them.

Love my outdoor edge but it's not magical. The best knife I have found is a sharp one, brand doesn't really matter. Sawzall is what makes the difference IMO...... Not that my opinion matters.

The two that I find myself accompanying me on deer hunts more than others are:
Kissing Crane "Classic Hunter." Bought mine from AG Russell for $40 or so.
I've got a number of knives that are more expensive than this one, but I really like the Cold Steel "Roach Belly" (Yeah, that's a horrible name, but it's a historical description of the blade shape.) You can find them all over the 'net for <$15.

I like a Buck Zipper with a rubber handle. Buck does however use a very hard grade of steel that takes a skilled sharpener to put a good edge on it. The rubber handle is a good grip even when covered in blood when you cut through the brisket while gutting.

Buck omni hunter with a gut hook.

I bought a Havalon Piranna from Bowie's during bow season. Its the one with the changable blades. Works mighty fine if I do say. Also mentioned, so buster and Gerber Gator.
