In addition to the hardest or second hardest group, we also travel the furthest of any team during group play. It's a total distance of greater than 9000 miles.

It's 51 hours by car from our first match location to our 2nd.

ETA: and another 51 hours back to Recife.

From what I understand they built it just for the WC and then it will never be used again. It was built in a village with zero infastructure or soccer culuture so that Brazil could show off the rainforest.

yea its fricking redic, getting to the jungle is going to be absurd

i posted this in the other group but england got fricked too, two of the cities they play in from each other is the distance from NYC to London 3,500 miles

If we get out, Group H doesn't look too bad. So this is a big sink or swim opportunity.

We will definitely need to win against Ghana. Portugal is not a great "team" but with CR they will be formidable.
