Quote of the day. In court an a guy gets up to the podium and is arraigned for taking undersized bowfin. First word out the judges mouth "What in the world is a bowfin!?" The judge was informed it was a choupique and had a look of "Why?"

Pled guilty and 200 dollar fine plus cost of court.

commercial yes....

• BOWFIN (Amia calva)
• 22 inches minimum total length
• Fishermen are prohibited, while on the water, from possessing
bowfin eggs (roe) that are not naturally connected
to a whole fish.

I've had the Cajun Caviar (Choupique roe) and it was good.
Is choupique sushi something you've eaten, and did you get your username from doing so?

I eat all kinds of raw fish, but I gotta say I'd be nervous to eat raw choupique.

Yeah me too. I'd be real hesitant to eat a choupique raw.

I just don't know if I can muster the strength to eat a Grinnnel raw. So wrong on many levels.
