So, Landry's greatest catch as a Tiger.....

was Mettenberger's last pass as a Tiger.
What a combination these two were!
Wish they had started in 2011 w Cameron calling the shots.

I dk man, Arkansas last year may have been better

i think the one this year tops it
left handed only, over the top of the defender going into the ground and held on
i didn't know that was possible

Both were great, but I give this one a higher degree of difficulty due to the defender.

I agree.
I can't get over that catch or the Auburn finish. What a crazy cfb weekend.

The one handed 3rd down catch he made against arky was legit too and doesnt get mentioned.

I agree that this years is more amazing. It should make the top ten catches for the entire season for the entire nation. I am pretty damn sure most people thought it was an interception at first!

Was a great catch. But I've seen it. I've never seen anyone do what he did against arky.

He had a really good one earlier in the game, and a super sick on back in his high school highlights

I'm still not over Landry absolutely punishing two auburn return men consecutively his (true) freshman year...

He's had a bunch of great catches but he's had 3 that most receivers won't pull in their careers...

I wanted to shake his hand after that catch he made against UGA. He's gonna be a helluva possession receiver in the NFL.

The catch on Mett's last pass would have been one of the top 5 Tiger catches of all time if the defender hadn't been there, considering how he went horizontal to get it.
The defender had both hands on it while Landry ripped it out with one hand.
While Landry went over the top of the defender, they never actually touched until the ball was in the defender's hands, and so no PI could be called.
So, yeah, it's pretty much the best catch ever. I've never seen it's equal in all of football.

The catch he made in the endzone in the HS Championship game in the dome may have been his best ever.

If Cam was here in 2012 we could have pushed for the NC no doubt, imho fwiw tbh.
We just watched a golden offensive season, one of the best ever at LSU. Truly enjoyed it. Defense was frustrating but the offense was a thing of beauty most of the year.

Best Landry catch ever? That's a good question to mull over a six pack.
Only college receiver I've ever seen who I expect to make the improbable catch. And he does, time and again.

That's a big dramatic statement.
Not saying I disagree or anything.

I don't know what was going through his head when he decided to dive over the defender for the ball. Most receivers would have given up on catching it. He smartly jumps so he's not interfering, and somehow rips the ball out of a sure interception with his left hand, and somehow manages to control it as he's falling and hitting the ground.
I look back at the Prothro catch and think that was awesome, but had the ball not fallen exactly where it did, he probably doesn't hold on. That catch had a lot of luck, still an awesome catch.
Landry's catch wasn't luck, it was 100% skill on his part.
