My thing is this if the saints can handle there business and get the number 2 seed then we have an easier road than Seahawks because if things stay the way things are now 49ers will be six and eagles will be three . Lions four and panthers will be five. The worst case is we play eagles panthers or lions at home. Seahawks would have to play 49ers, panthers or lions at home . The difference is we will not have to play a deadly 49ers until the championship. To me being number two might be the best road this year to the Super Bowl .And if we have to play Seahawks again they will not have two weeks to prepare. And they will play one physical game in the nice cold bad weather stadium that will no doubt January lead to injuries. Where as is we will play easy picking eagles with no defense or easy picking lions with no defense or maybe worst case third tough game against panthers but by that time we should have the key to beat them. So number two is a good thing maybe our coach might be play a little mind games.

you can be positive all you want, but we got our asses handed to us, and it exposed us (well atlanta kind of exposed corey white).

While a lot were rooting for #1 seed (and to stamp that seattle is beatable), I was, and still am, more worried about carolina somehow taking the #2 seed from us.

I'm with you. I really have a bad feeling Carolina has a good shot at snatching the 2 seed.

Yeah I agree to an extent. But, you think Payton and this team aren't going to gain anything from getting smoked like that? If so, then you're just too pissed off at the moment to realize when you get schooled like that, then you're bound to learn a lesson or two.

Payton was so under prepared for Seattle... and he got embarrassed on national tv for it. This team will be ready to play their best football moving forward.

It's very likely we get a rematch in Seattle for the playoffs. It will still be a tough game to win, but they gained a wealth of knowledge of how they should of prepared for this game. Hopefully next time calling Brett Favre for advice won't be a top priority.

roles reversed!

we killed seattle in the regular season, and lost to them in the playoffs.

we got killed by seattle in the regular season, and beat them in the playoffs.

too bad this time its both at seattle. lol

Almost every super bowl team gets their asses kicked at least once.

I'm not worried about how bad we got beaten, I'm worried about how we're going to respond.

I have faith that we will bounce back.

Remember when they said that loss to New England was a good thing and that loss to New York. Oh! It'll only make us better and stronger. Where did that get us? Quit fricking sugarcoating losses. No loss is a good thing, EVER.

Nobody will be talking about this loss once the playoffs start especially if the Saints have a BYE.

Agreed, but they would need to loose out the rest of the season. I give them a lot of credit, but you know what? We loss that game Monday by ourselves. I just wish our defense was a bit more lose. They seemed tight and slow.

I guarantee people will be talking about it if the Saints have to travel up to Seattle to play in the NFC Championship.

That would be scary but I think this arse whipping we got will make us better prepared for this match up. Gonna be hard to beat us twice.

at this point you just hope they go into the nfc championship super cocky and arrogant attitude 'we beat you once, we can do it again' and have it backfire on them.

They will not have a two week break to steroid it up for two weeks. I bet if the nfl test everyone on that team would fail. They put in there Gatorade.

Here's the thing. You must be physical on offense and defense to get to where u want to be in the playoffs. Our team does not have it right now. U havr to be able to run the ball when u want and not just when your up. Defense has to stop the run and contain the QB especially on read option QBs. We will not win a game on the road unless this happens.
