his whole recruitment is so strange. Lifelong LSU fan, commits to LSU, decommits for personal reasons and commits to Auburn, then says he's going to announce again today (while still committed to Auburn) but doesn't seem to set up a time to do it?

Everything points to LSU with these facts - maybe just trying to line everything up. Occasionally a heavily recruited kid who commits, then apparently wavers, comes back and "recommits" to the same school. However, far more commonly, the new announcement is to change the commitment. If the kid remains committed to the original school, he usually just says that to the sources and they classify/reclassify his commitment as "firm".

He is not committing today. He is a 5 star recruit and would likely have this aired on ESPNU or the like. The fact that it is not scheduled is telling.
