but why? Michigan St is a damn good football team, especially defensively. They control the ball enough to keep it away from Urban's offense too. I'd say it is 50/50, if not leaning towards MSU outright.

I disagree...I think most would agree that MSU is more than capable of winning that game

It's not a given and I really like Michigan State's defense, but they haven't played an offense like Ohio State's. They are as untested as Ohio State.

I don't think it's a. Given. Not sure where you're seeing that.

FSU over Duke is a given. Ohio State is not at all.

I havent seen many people say its a given. I think its more a given that they make the BCSNCG with a victory though.

Not seeing that specifically, but all the talk is about Auburn jumping an undefeated Ohio St team. Seems a little early to even have that discussion is all.

same w/ Auburn.

It's very possible that both lose next week.

Ohio State's defense is terrible. Michigan's offense has been pathetic this season. Don't forget about the wonderful performance against Illinois. Michigan State's offense isn't any good but that doesn't matter against Ohio State.

Ohio State's defense is very inconsistant.

They held a good indiana offense to 14, who scored 28 vs Michigan State. Only gave up 2 touchdowns in the final 5 minutes when they were up 42-0

They held Wisconsin in check one of the best rushing attacks in the country.

They lead the nation in sacks and also top 10 in TFL.

I think OSU will have the advantage against Michigan State's offense. They are much better against downhill running attack offenses (see Wisconsin and Iowa)

We will see, but I have no doubt in my mine Urban will pull out all the stops to win it. He knows a national title appearance is on the line.

OSU by double digits, sparty scores late to make it look closer than it was. I'm thinking something like 31-20.

OSU got a reality check last saturday. I don't think Cook is nearly the playmaker that Gardner is and I don't think they have a TE that can hurt us. Their rushing attack is based on physicality and not speed. Michigan got their yards on the edges last week, MSU won't get that. Teams really dont run up the middle on OSU, interior line is too good. I am worried about screens and fake punts/FGs.

On the other side of the ball i think it's going to be a hell of a smash mouth rushing contest. They have a great corner and a very good one, I don't see many (if any) passes over 20 yards. I think Hyde wears them down in the end and reels off 8 yards a carry when it's all over. Braxton getting injured is a concern because they hit hard, need to limit his designed runs I think...we have the backs to do it. Braxton 200 yards passing 1 TD 100 yards rushing 1td, Hyde 175 yards 2TDs and a FG to hit 31.

I'd venture to say it is likely that MSU wins.

yeah, there could be a huge emotional letdown for Auburn following the dramatic ending last night.

you could have said the same thing for them after the Georgia game but they had a week off before the Bama game.

what if both Auburn and Ohio State lost? Very possible.

It would be FSU vs Mizzou(unless Bama somehow snakes their way in?)

What happens if FSU loses? Do they still get in like OU in 03?
