That sign is Austin (and all of Texas for that matter) in a nutshell, IMFO.

You know, I've lived here for almost 8 years and I haven't met a whole heck of a lot of rednecks. frick ton of hipsters, yes...but not a lot of rednecks. So that observation is pretty off-base. I would expect a festival like this to happen in Houston or Waco, but not Austin.

Trying to utilize Circuit of the Americas, I suppose...although this will appeal more to the Nascar crowd than the F1 folks, unfortunately.

It has to be a cheesedick Jeff Foxworthy joke to go along with the Cheesedicks playing in the festival

Apparently, the place I work is constantly recommended to travelers by their hotels...works out GREAT for events like ACL and F1, but I'm just waiting for these douchebags to get pissed off about the fact that we only offer craft beers and nothing even REMOTELY close to Bud Light.

Lone star is delicious. Had my first one at Wakarusa this past summer. Our neighbors were from Austin and traded us a 12 pack of Lonestar for a 12 pack of Abita. Pretty sure they got the better end of the deal but I wasn't mad at it

It's not bad at all, and we sell it for $2 ($1 on Thursdays) so at that price you can't afford NOT to drink it.

The sweet deals on 16oz Lone Star at Blind Pig and Maggie Mae's are the greatest things ever

Great argument. Have you ever been to Austin?

One of our local establishments sells it for $6 a pitcher.

This is the first valid point I've heard for the old "NOLA > Austin" argument.
I'll take a higher murder rate over a Foxworthy festival every time.

Most places in Austin sell Lone Star for $2.
