Tyreke simply can't play off the ball and if he's starting, the bulk of his minutes will be doing just that with Jrue running point

Good. Jrue can spot up and he needs to be off ball more frequently IMO. He needs to a be super D and 3 pg with some selective creation chances.

Gordon has been very good this year.

On what planet is 15.2 2.5 2.8 39.6% for $14.3 mil very good?

His contract isn't his fault.

That's on the Suns and now-Pelicans.

No but his average numbers are. He is not playing bad but definitely not playing very good. If I do a mediocre job I don't tell my boss its not my fault you paid me as much as you did. The fact is he is paid as a max player and is far from it.

To be fair, do you believe Holiday and Evans are playing up to their contracts?

I never said they were. The OP said that Gordon was playing very good. I just pointed out that his numbers say otherwise. Oh and they both make less than Gordon.

I am not sure why you keep coming back to salary. If he was a trade prospect, sure. When evaluating whether he should have been matched, sure.

His contract has nothing to do with how he is playing today, except maybe relatve to expectations, which, again, are not in his control.

Gordon's been good enough to raise his trade value. Hell they could always start Rivers and still bring Evans off the bench.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying

Gerald Wallace (terrible contract) + Jeff Green for Eric Gordon works in the trade machine.

Who says no after that brick last night?
