Been hunting for a few years going on a hunt every now and then, and decided to invest in a quality jacket. Any recommendations? Guy I go with said to get a three in one, but I'm not sure what that means. Would like to be able to wear it deer hunting too (rifle hunting, I have some really nice bow hunting/scent control stuff)

3 in 1 is usually the shell and some sort of fleece liner. You can wear each separately and then both together giving you 3 options from mild to cold weather.

I got the Beretta jacket last year, and I think I really like it, only worn a few times, but it is waterproof. Which beats any of the shite Drake has put out. Got drunk and threw a Drake jacket in a fire just to prove a point and don't really regret it.

I am a fan of the Columbia stuff as well, or I used to be, I don't know if the quality is what it was 20 years ago.

Its funny because I got a Duck Commander 3-1 jacket at Macks in 2008. At that time, the public had ZERO interest in Duck Commander/Dyansty, etc.

Jacket fit my needs and budget, and is still holding strong today.

Luckily the logo is a small brown oval, not easily seen. I didnt give two shits back in the day, but now Im very glad it is not easily detected as a DUCK COMMANDER JACKET BRO.

Bought this one a few years ago on clearance when the season ended. Been a really solid jacket. Fleece lined. Very warm and not very heavy at all.

Rivers West makes some pretty good jackets. My dad got one a few years ago that is extremely thin but surprisingly warm.

Got an old Filson that my firm gave me for Christmas 15+ years ago. Waxed cotton, covered in mud and blood. Not very well insulated, but I wear layers underneath with no problem.

true. but expensive also. I have a semi fleece zip up jacket by River's West that I wear early duck season. Water proof and has good storage. zip pockets and all. It's about 7-8 years old now but I think its most like the spider or something model that they have now

I have a drake mst pullover wader jacket with the brown breathable material on the bottom. It's warm and does the job and was only 80$

For wet or very cold mornings I have a herters 3 in 1 jacket from cabelas, it's really nice being it was on sale for 75$ from 200$

My buddy also have a duck commander jacket before it went big and he really likes it, just get what you like and fits just stay away from redhead jackets as they are not made very well

I don't understand why this board has to mention this every time Are you too cool for duck commander now just because they're on tv? Who gives a shite what it says as long as its quality and works for you.

When I have to wear a jacket its usually a Drake MST. When its particularly cold or wet, I wear a Cabelas jacket. The Cabelas jacket is really the better of the two, its just bulkier but its drier and held up better.

Columbia Widgeon parka or jacket. It's a 3-in-1 system. But with the shell on, you won't feel the wind even when it is COLD. if you don't need camouflage, then a Barbour waxed jacket. It will last for years ans very versatile. But it is not a very warm coat unless you also buy the zip-in liner. However, given our weather, it will be plenty warm on most days.
