Ok, my smoker just went out on me. It has been pretty good but it is long in the tooth and I'll have to get a new one.

I have looked at a couple and can't see myself putting 1200 bucks into a smoker right now. I would also like one that is both gas and electric.

So what say y'all? What should I get?

Less than 200

My dad got me this, and it cooks like a dream. You can to a turkey inside, hang racks of ribs around the turkey and grill sausage on the top at the same time. It also has a compartment for chips.

I really prefer gas to electric for smoking, I guess I am extremely biased though.

But I would like the option for electric..

Have had one of these for over two years now. Use it 5 -6 a month. Works great, easy and no issues so far.

I have gas also- you can control heat better, take it offsite to camp, picnic etc and if the electricity is off you keep cooking

I saw no advantage to electric

This is why I like gas, no matter where I am, I can grill/smoke

Just got an Ole Hickory last week, and it is niiice. It cost 12k, but there's no better way to cook 250+ turkeys in a day.
