...but without a decent story and lots of action.

Seriously, everything looks like a clone of Far Cry.

But pirates....

I seriously am considering it just because of the pirates.

Far Cry 3 doesn't even come close to AC4 IMO.

the only thing better in Far Cry is the voice actors.

I also do enjoy the abstergo story this time.

The collectables and side missions are light years ahead of Far Cry 3 making it a lot more enjoyable.

I have played a lot of both FWIW.

Oh shtt, I couldn't disagree more.

Did you play FC3 on a PC @ Ultra settings?

Both of these games feel exactly the same. Except like you said, voice acting was great in FC3 and IMO the story was deeper and keep you going.

I can't speak for the graphics, and I'm sure that would affect my decision.

So I would like to change my argument.

AC4 offers a hell of a lot more replayability IMO and a offers a lot more along side the story.

And even though the story was better in FC3, once that ended then it was unplayable IMO.

There is juts simply so much more to do in AC4.

ETA:

Plus the martime aspect just puts it on another level.

So much fun.

Agreed

FC3 was one of my favorite games last year. Just because @ 1440 the world you got put in felt soo real.

Are you satisfied with AC4 so far? I just started playing last night because of the PC version releasing yesterday, so not too far in.

I'm starting to enjoy it... a little more than I thought.

Ubisoft said they borrowed a lot from far cry and something tells me watch dogs will borrow a lot too. I want to love ubisoft games but after a while they all feel the same.

It looked relatively good on console. I couldn't imagine it @ 1440. Got any screenshots?

The hunting aspect is one big one.

I imagine I will be hunting pigeons and squirrels in Watchdogs in order to upgrade my belt clip phone holster.

You won't get the full effect unless you are looking through a 1440p resolution on your monitor or device

They already showed where you will have to conquer these towers to unlock areas and what not. Not that its bad, but it's always the same.

And also, UPlay is just the saddest thing ever. Makes Origin look like Steam.

I am heavily considering a pc ban on ubisoft games for myself because it always pisses me off. I can run AC2 great, but uplay crashes everytime I close the game... WTF

I am really looking forward to AC4 once I get my next gen console. I enjoyed FC3 but didn't get quite as in to it as other games I play for some reason. I got side tracked by other games and never finished it. I need to pick it back up.

It probably isn't as big a deal for most people, but for some reason I really prefer single player games with third person camera angles. So I guess that is a big difference for me.

FC3 did do a great job of never letting me feel safe. On the roads you had to worry about enemies on patrol and off them it was the wildlife, and both could easily make you feel outmatched.
