It's getting great reviews. I was not all that excited because I thought the first book was far superior to the other two but it seems maybe they adapted it well to the big screen. Looking forward to it now.

I felt like Catching Fire kept up with the original.. the 3rd book not so much. That being said - I think the third book will actually be the better "film" because the content of the third book actually seems to present itself as a "made for film" script.

God I hope they change the ending for the films. The last book ended horribly.

I actually agree with all that. Saying the first book was far superior to the second was a bit of an overstatement.

Man, I have no reading retention. I read all three books last summer and I can't remember anything.

I have no idea what the last book was even about.

ETA: Just read a quick overview of the 3rd book and I remember now.

I always thought the first book was great. The second book was pretty darn good. And I thought the 3rd was good till the ending.

But with that being said I told my wife I hated the 3rd book but I felt it would e a good movie.

I like buildup in my books and honestly the 3rd book said BOOM over. And it ended. Normally that's what movies miss out on when coming from a book. I feel like the third book will actually make a good movie.

I've got my tickets for Sunday. Looking forward to this movie but trying not to get too hyped. I bought into the hype for the first movie and was extremely underwhelmed when compared to how much I loved the book.

I still haven't watched the first one.

and the author has already said there will be "new" content released with the movie that wasn't in the books.. that will build on the mythos, instead of taking away.

I seriously think the 3rd / 4th film ends up being the best, and it makes me very very excited.

All 3 books had horrible endings. I enjoyed the trilogy but hated all 3 endings.

You're not missing much. It was just ok imo. With all the hype I thought it would be better.

Good; I was a little wary because I thought the first book was the best out of the 3, so it seems like they're expanding a lot on the source material.

Looking forward to seeing this later tonight. The 2nd book was my favorite so I've been hype for this one for awhile

Just left. I liked it.

Usually I'm a little bitch about hating movies of books I like, but I've liked both of these.

Just got out. Miles better than the first. A pretty damn good movie. Predictable, but really good.
