To be fair I think the league started cracking down on helmet to helmet hits the next season.
The Brees penalty is a nonissue; it was karma from the Pats game. the main thing is that if we hadn't muffed a punt and fumbled out of the endzone we would've won that game going away. the 49ers are delusional

Lol it's true they did get robbed. I was pissed when they called the penalty, how the frick are you supposed to hit the QB these days?

49ers have no one to blame but themselves.
Frank Gore had a chance to put us away, but dropped a pass.
They got the ball with two minutes and a tie ballgame and they went backwards.
They had a chance for a defensive stand to force OT and they committed a stupid penalty on the punt to give us great field position.
The 49ers and their whiny-arse fans can all get bent.

Even without the call, three minutes left, time outs, 3 minute warning. SF offense inept. Saints get ball back. Maybe OT.
