Celebrating GF bday tonight and she loves Mexican. Was hoping to go to Superior but they're booked till late. Any suggestions around the area or even out in Jeff parish?

I like Casa Garcia.
Many don't.
If you like Superior, you should probably like Garcia.

Not traditional choices in NOLA, Maya's and Canal St Bistro.
2 best best in town.

I really liked Coyote Blues the one time I ate there. Supposed to be Louisiana/Mexican fusion. I guess you'd call it "Lou-Mex". I like the way everything was seasoned.

A buddy of mine told me about this place today. It sounds too much like a Soanish black cat to me, so I opted for the best restaurant in the state.
I had the steak chimichanga with southwestern mashed potatoes and cheesey corn grits at Coyote Blues on Vets.
