If any of you guys are thinking about picking up Tavon Austin after his big game last Sunday, I would warn you to be cautious. I had him on my team earlier in the season, and was disappointed enough to drop him a couple of weeks ago. In particular, I started him when the Rams played Seattle a couple of weeks ago, and he was on the field for maybe a quarter of the Rams' total offensive plays. He was in and out of the offensive formations so much, you wondered why the Rams were limiting him when he was their 1st round pick who was going to be their play-maker. They barely threw the ball to him to begin with.

Now, take this last game. If I remember correctly, those two big touchdown receptions were the only two balls thrown to him all day. Now, give him credit for making the most of those two targets, but that shows you right there that he isn't really a priority in their passing offense right now.

Any player can have a HUGE game on any given Sunday, and then go right back to anonymity the very next week. Case in point, Marvin Jones, he had four TD's a couple of weeks ago, ever since then he has barely registered on the fantasy football scale.

So, if you're going after Austin, just keep in mind he may disappoint you this Sunday. I may be wrong, but it's wise to be cautious.

TLDR: Tavon Austin had a big game. He hasn't done well for most of the season prior. He may have another big game, but may not.

Guy in one of my leagues has him. He;s been benched for a while. He's all excited to play him this week. I'm laughing at him because he's in second place, behind me, and I'm pretty sure Tavon isn't doing that shite again.
