Exactly. Life in prison. That'll keep these thugs from ruining their lives with weed.

No, not life in prison, just no chance at millions of dollars - or get a good butt whoopin'.

It is absolutely mind-boggling why college and NFL players can't leave that stuff alone. Do they not have the mental capacity to weigh the possible consequences?

Do you have the mental capacity to understand that of course they don't have the mental capacity to weigh the consequences?

They really don't. The guys have lived their whole lives being coddled and told how great they are. They do not understand.

No, my mind is boggled (or bottled - as someone else said).

eh, i look at weed more like guys who drink alcohol to wind down the day. dumb that weed is illegal, but it is what it is, and they know the law.

The drug laws in this country are so stupid.

430 miles right down I 70 west at the first town you come to in Colorado, Burlington what he had was 100% legal.

Busting people and putting them in jail for something that is legal one state over is ridiculous.

Obviously that no excuse for Bowe, he knows the law where he lives and will pay the consequences. I'm just pointing out the irony of the drug laws in this country.

No you're right. Bowe smokes it because he is a thug.

I don't think smoking weed makes someone a thug.

But it's laughable to suggest he was smoking it for medicinal purposes. I can't believe you are really making that case.

they don't sentence people to prison time for possession of weed under an ounce. that is one of the biggest myths i see all the time, especially for a first time offender, which i'm pretty sure bowe is in the eyes of the law. yes, he may have been arrested and bonded out, but so are people charged with driving on a suspended license, public intoxication, etc. he's not going to be sentenced with anything more than a fine, random drug screenings, and probation, which is plenty appropriate.

furthermore, it is 100% legal to possess a gun with a permit in the majority of states. carry one in the wrong place, and you can serve prison time (plaxico burress; btw, i'm not comparing the two offenses in terms of severity, just that laws aren't always comparable across state lines). i agree that marijuana laws are stupid by and large, but weed being legal in some states and not others is not why the laws are stupid.

Just saw that. What a dumbass. How many of these idiots have to be arrested before they realize that being a pro star won't dazzle everyone, especially the police.

doubt bowe thought him being an NFL player would give him a get out of jail free card. he likely, just like most people in general who get busted for weed, thought he wouldn't get caught, which most people don't.
