What specifically did Les Miles do wrong tonight?

I honestly really liked the game plan. This game really just boils down to our defense lacking in talent this season.. It's obviously not something we're used to as LSU fans.

I think you answered it.

Recruiting just isn't up to par of late.

I agree with you BUT

I think Copeland gave us a better chance to run the ball.

I think Stud is and has been a liability.

Not recruit to the level that Saban has recruited to.

It was our best game plan of the year we came out with passion and we called really solid plays. Cookie didnt crumble our way.

It's not just about tonight. It's a collective fail over the past two years.

Guessing you were either drunk or didn't watch the second half

Legitimate concern. But the way people are talking it sounds like they are upset with how he coached this game. I missed probably the last 6 minutes of the game but before that I really didn't see anything wrong with the coaching. Just problems in execution obviously with Copeland's fumble and our secondary getting burned.

His game plan was better than Sabans and he had his players playing to higher level than their skill set for much of the game but you can only play on emotion and adredaline for so long before talent catches up to you.

Game plan was fine for the first half, but there is a reason teams make adjustments in the second halves when other teams adjust.

The defense looked awful with the exception of 2 or 3 drives and that speaks to coaching. All the players were missing tackles, playing without focus and just plain bad. Lack of talent isn't an excuse for Miles, it's a reason the defense sucks. Lack of talent is Les' fault too.

Great coaching can make up for weaker talent, but unfortunately LSU doesn't have that right now on the defensive side of the ball.

How do you think bama gets kids to there knowing they in many cases they won't see the field for 2 or 3 years because of the depth?

Hint: It starts with M and ends in Y

The last 6 minutes were the equivalent of the nazis rolling into Paris

What other coach has? Nobody is going to deny that Saban > Miles. But how on earth does that equate to "fire Miles!".

Coaching wise...

He lost the team in the third quarter. They quit.

He failed to reload the offense and defense synchronously.

This is a long term timing error. Miles failed to sync up the year to year peaks and troughs of the offense and defense. This is perhaps something a more process oriented coach might pay attention to.

Last year's defense with this year's offense would have been a way different story.

As a coach, you pull Mills. Not only did he get burned, he didn't even hustle after he got burned.

I'd pull his scholly for bullshite like that. If you get beat, sack up and at least chase after the guy.
