I recently picked up my fiance a black lab puppy. I have accepted the fact that this dog will be a big lap dog but I am hoping I can make him useful for something. The breeder that we got him from had already started leaving him deer blood trails and he took to it fairly quickly. I would like to continue this and see where we can go with it.

Heres the problem, I do not bow hunt and I may not be able to gun hunt either with work. I was wondering if any of yall fine men would save me some blood and possibly some rib meat off your next deer? I am in Denham and would prefer to not travel too far but really wouldn't mind starting sooner than later.

If this is a stupid request, please say so, we can make fun of it and then turn this into a gameday drinking thread.

Is there a deer butcher around there? Might be easier just to hit them up...

As soon as gun starts in ms, I should be able to get you as much blood and rib meat as you want.

Cheesy should be able to, too.

This was not what I was expecting when I opened this thread, but a deer butcher would probably be the easiest and most lucrative.

shouldn' be too hard. i'm in SE area of BR, so close to DS. however, i didn't have to do that with my lab. the 2 times i had to trail a deer all i did was bring him to the shot-spot on-leash, and just followed him = dead animal.
i was lucky and had a big, tough, hard headed, male chocolate lab that wouldn't give up on anything.
loved that dog
