Best place for a medium-end suit?

I own about six suits, but my black suit is by far the poorest quality.
Where can I get a medium-end suit for around $500-$600 bones? Brooks Brothers?

Do my own measurements and then order the suit online? Sounds like a hassle

Go to mens warehouse and act like you're buying a suit, and they'll measure you. I haven't bought from HF&M but those look like decent suits. I think I might grab one.

Dillard's. I got an American made suit there for 65% off a month ago. There are other options at full-baller price as well.

This. Go during a sale.
Also, I've found some surprisingly decent (for the price) options at J. Crew, as well. But those are not really business suits.

medium isn't an end, it's the middle

How much is a decent BB suit?

At full price, probably $1000-$1300. But they are frequently on sale. For example, their suits in that range are now on sale at 2 for $1700.

Please tell me you're not buying another black suit. Give the one you have to Goodwill and never speak of this again.
Not sure how big a boy you are, but the "modern" "not fat guy" cut from Brooks Brothers is the Fitzgerald. They also do "essential suits" in the slightly more generous Regent cut that fit your budget. They're always on some sort of promotion.

Donation fail. Isn't goodwill for profit?
I'll be donating two suits to the salvation army . Two suits for $1700 isn't bad at all. How long can I expect a BB to last?

Which charity am I thinking of then? I could have sworn one only gives back a small %

Goodwill Industries is a 501c3 "non-profit" organization, and I like the fact that they hire a lot of people who otherwise have a tough time getting jobs (disabilities, felonies, veterans, etc).

I have a bunch of expensive clothes and a couple suits to donate. Could I get a tax refund?
Posted on 11/5/13 at 11:34 am to TheOcean
If you donate the clothes they would be tax-deductible, but the effect on your refund would depend on whether or not you take the standard deduction or have enough to itemize.
