The other thing to note in those polls is how weak the SEC West apparently is. All of the good teams in the conference (Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri) are in the East. If LSU can just be better than the mediocre teams in the West (none of whom gets even a single vote in either poll), we should be able to put together a pretty good record.

There is no East or West anymore....all 14 teams are bunched together.....
