After the saints game I'm going to pick up my new scope. I can get the Conquest for 400 w/o tax and the Leupold for 380 w/tax so price isn't an issue. I'll be taking up to 200 yd shots. Mounting on a Savage 25-06. My biggest concern is low-light ability. Any help would be awesome guys.

IMO, Zeiss is the best it gets for low light shooting.

Put a Zeiss Conquest 3x9 on my .30-06 Thursday, scope is pretty freaking awesome. Gets my vote.

Thanks man! I've been reading that the Conquest blows leupolds out of the water.

I recommend a Nikon then. I mean yeah, what you mentioned was great, but why not save some money and get the same quality? It wont wow your friends when you pull it out at the camp but I promise the deer wont care.

I have a Nikon pro staff right now. While it's a nice scope it's no where near my friends Zeiss or my brothers Leupold.

Well, you cannot compare a bottom line Nikon vs a top line Leupold. Nor can you compare a top line Nikon vs a VX1. Try apples to apples and then things become clear.

Brothers got a VX1 and I have a Prostaff. Leupolds lowest class and Nikons mid level class.

Nikons monarchs are the same price as the VXII's and slightly cheaper than the Conquest.

It truly does sound like you have it all figured out. I am not saying that I have more time behind any of them than anyone else but I have been behind almost all of them, in the field. Not in a store, not in a camp, not during midday looking at a tree across the yard.

Get some true time with all of them and the brand names will mean less and less.

I would go conquest. I like leupold vx-3 or higher and nikon monarch's. I'm looking at either Swarovski z3 or conquest hd5. They are within $200 bucks of each other.

I have never looked through a higher end Conquest but I do love my Z3. Not that this helps any but I felt obligated to let you know.

I have one of both. Mine are 4.5 x 14 can't really tell the difference. They are very similar. Also have a Pentax game seeker that came on a rifle I bought. The Leupold and Zeiss are both much better.

Not true. Nikon is not on par. Its not bad, but its not a zeiss. That being said, I'd spend a little more money and buy the 1" Swarovski.

Was directed more towards Leupold than zeiss. But the upper level monarchs are still better than the bottom conquest models. Not a fair comparison but truth.

Nobody, I hope. I've just been posting from my phone and not fully explaining myself. Getting tired of having to repeat myself so I stated the obvious.
