Brandon Jacobs had pointed but fair criticism of fantasy football leaguers after receiving death threats from people on Twitter regarding his Week 7 availability. At least one "fan" threatened Jacobs' life if he didn't play against the Vikings. "I think sometimes fantasy football is good, but sometimes I think it has disconnected a lot of players from fans," said Jacobs. "That’s all people ever talk about. You sit down to eat at a restaurant and people say, I have you on my fantasy team, you have to do something for me this week. I’m trying to enjoy my dinner, you know?" Conceded Jacobs, "People that understand us and know what we go through every day, I know that fantasy is just fun for them. It’s cool to have people like that being involved that know what it is and don’t take it too serious."

So which one of yall needed jacobs to play this week.

On my bench till he gets healthy. Nobody better kill him before that happens. They should have drafted & traded better.

Yeah I read that earlier.

FF players threatening to kill players is fricking stupid.

That said, the NFL and the players gain more and more revenue from fans involvement in the sport. FF origins and growth in the mid 90's and 00's have only strengthened the NFL.

It's the only reason anyone tuned into MNF football this week. Or for anyone who kept in on past half time. For damn sure

with all due respect...i remember him saying something along the lines of "I ain't hurt bad, I'm going to play, i want to play and ain't nothing gonna stop me from playing"..like on Tuesday or wednesday after sitting out or being limited in practice. Some might have taken that to be the truth and planned accordingly...only days later to realize that he was full of shite.

That imbecile should be elated that he is back in the league and should welcome the fact that somebody has him on their team.

How many times could this have really happened to him, like three whole times?

I'm the type that wants them to sit my player most of the time so when they finally do play that they will be closer to full strength. The most frustrating part about fantasy to me is when they make a good player active but then barely play him.

At least some of us understand that it is terrible to get rich playing football. All the things he goes through every day . Poor Brandon Jacobs. Just wants everyone to let him enjoy his filet Mignon and understand that playing a game for 4 million a year is devastating.

I'm sure the "threats" were purely sarcasm.
