Best case/worst case for LSU in a bowl

What are the board's thoughts?

A BCS game is pretty much out the window unless McCarron gets hurt so I don't think that is legitimately the best case scenario

I think a Cotton Bowl matchup with Baylor is terrifying to be honest. I would rather a trip to Shreveport than see our defense against their offense.

10-2 beat Alabama and knock them into the Sugar Bowl. Maybe the Orange Bowl takes LSU.

8-4. Music City Bowl

Music city is not terrible for worst case

Orange would be awesome but doesn't line up with conference tie ins

I wasn't really serious but it is a bad matchup for us and a no win situation for the program

Orange could take LSU if Florida State is in the BCS Title game, which gives Orange an Atlarge selection against Big East, or whatever that conference is.

I'd like to play an undefeated Ohio State. Their win streak would be something like 26 games by then, and LSU would beat them.

There are a few one loss teams that could throw a wrench in that

I thought only two teams per conference in BCS bowls or is that wrong?

BAMA will skull frick mizzou in the SECG but that may be their only loss

If you don't play in the National Championship game then it really don't fukin matter what bowl you play in.

Worst possible case would be if LSU loses out, finishes 6-6 and may not get an invite. 6 wins doesn't promise a bowl. LSU would probably end up at the bbva compass bowl in Birmingham

If we lose to fricking Furman, then we don't deserve to be in the SEC or go to a bowl. If we can win out, we'll probably end up in the Cotton Bowl. If we finish 9-3, it'll be Chicken, Outback, or Gator Bowl. Going 8-4 will likely send us to Nashville for the Music City Bowl or Memphis for the Liberty Bowl. Go 7-5 and we're Shreveport bound.

I figure the Cotton Bowl would not want us since we opened the season in Dallas. Chicken Bowl is a no since we went there last year. Leaves Outback and the usual suspects.

If we win out, who else would they choose? The SEC champ would go to the Sugar Bowl, the loser of the SECCG would probably go to the Capital One Bowl. I suppose the Cotton could invite Auburn if they finish 10-2.

Best: Sugar vs Clemson, Cotton Bowl vs Oklahoma, or Texas Tech or Capital One Bowl vs Michigan

Worst: Outback Bowl vs Indiana, Chick-fil-a Bowl vs Virginia Tech or Miami, Independence Bowl vs Duke
