When the Miles era ends, it will be welcomed.

Yes, the man has done well for LSU, the winningest coach in LSU history yada yada yada...(cue insults for not focusing only on Miles' record) but eventually, his time here will end, and I for one will welcome it.

I am an older guy who grew up on LSU football in the 70's, but I'm ready to see LSU transition to modern football. We have the talent in this state to do it.

What happens when our next coach doesn't win 80% of his games?

How do you know the next coach won't.

Mediocre fans settling for mediocre football. It's a reflection of the culture. "Don't bother with the idea of excellence. It's too much trouble".

BTW, say my first game in Tiger Stadium in 1959.

I believe people felt the same way about Cholly Mac. Looking back, LSU was pretty foolish for getting rid of him.

Who besides Saban will win consistent championships? I'll wait.

I agree. I can tolerate the excruciating pain of watching miles make every football game exciting, even when we should be blowing a lot of teams out, but I have reached my limit if he can't win.

bama and a&M. can you say UGLY?

Jimbo Fisher might have the team to do it this season...

Sure. Consistency is maybe one season.

The coaching staff as a whole lacks killer instinct. We have the talent this year to score 50+ per game but as soon as we get a couple touchdowns ahead, they go into consevative, or what I like to call everybody's a winner mode.
Also, what's with not continuing to go to what is working at the time and trying to force what isn't working? The running game could not be stopped last night, yet we continued to try to force the deep ball. We could break off 10 yard runs at will but insisted on getting it all at once.
I'm not gonna even get into the last timeout
I love LSU football as much as anyone, but at somepoint it gets frustrating to watch such a talented team get beat by Ole Piss' 2 string

You don't think FSU is here to stay?...Winston is the best QB I've seen this season and he's got at least two more seasons.

because 80% win coaches are rare

How many coaches in LSU history have 80% wins?

Then why not stay inside because lightning might strike you when you go outside? Eventually the CLM era will end for whatever reason. What are you going to do then? What were most saying when the Miami jet was at Ryan? It seemed to have worked out right?

I love the way some fans redefine the word "mediocre".

I don't. But, like I said, the Miles era will end. LSU and La. are set up for success. Make the right hire and this program can win championships with another coach.

A huge majority of D-1 schools would love our "mediocrity" and this is against the toughest competition every year.
