Please explain. Yeah, I know he was selfish. His coaches, teammates, etc. have forgiven him (you know... the people he ACTUALLY let down). So you're just a bitter douche if you still dislike him.

ETA: Are you even an LSU fan? GTFO

He owes LSU nothing

Truth. LSU fans are odd in that they will turn on players and each other in a heartbeat and yet remain loyal to a former player who crapped all over them.

Well since you're not a Tiger Fan then wdygaf?

Telling you to get the frick out doesn't make me bitter. Just telling you what you should do because you're an idiot and not even an LSU fan.

Cool emojis, though.

Erin is a third generation LSU grad. Her credentials are just fine.

He did not crap on anyone.
He let his teammates and the program down. But most of all he screwed himself out of playing for a school football program and coach he very much liked.
Not to mention the millions in pay he cost himself.
So unbunch your panties nancy. LSU and the badger are doing just fine.
ND football ranked...well yall did get some votes to be in the top 25.
And I did see you guys ranked #22 in private schools.
So there is that.

Because we like redemption stories involving former LSU football greats.

Mistakes were made, he faced the consequences of those mistakes and moved on, why can't you?

Thank you Mr. Sam but I truly don't need my pedigree explained to the denizens of this board.

Hope to see you in Gulfport this Weekend.

you're sort of missing the point. Taking responsibility isn't the issue. Good for him if he indeed recognizes his actions as being less than admirable. That recognition in no way mitigates his actions and his lack of concern for team, school, fans, and teammates.

so he made bad decisions, took accountability for them, and not once blamed anyone but himself. he then went out of his way to say nothing but good things about his team mates, coaches, and school for the support they gave him throughout the entire ordeal. and all those people have forgiven him. yeah he really spit on the program and school by doing all that. people make mistakes. people pay for those mistakes. that shouldn't forever damn them from people hoping the best for him and liking him as an individual. sorry he provided you with some of the most exciting moments in LSU football history.

exactly. dude went to PRISON for crimes far worse than smoking weed, yet because he didn't miss an LSU football season, you rarely see LSU fans treat him with disdain for that and only that reason. the people who hate Mathieu are more selfish than Mathieu's actions were to his team. the way some people talk on here, it's like they dislike mathieu more than guys like cecil collins. guess only time will help some people get over it.

I spoke to your brother this morning. The jet skis alone will have me there. Must be nice living on the back bay.

Seriously Erin, you need to stop being such an antagonist here. You're having fun but they it to heart.
