You're half right, in my estimate. If I'm not mistaken, the biological imperative for male primates is to impregnate a genetically diverse range of females to ensure the survival of their own genes.
Since homo sapiens has evolved into a species that values societal cooperation defined by social norms (and his unbridled promiscuity violates several of them), his behavior could be viewed as regressive and somewhat primitive.

This has nothing to do with stupidity. These people know how babies are made. It's just simply a matter of them not caring how many children they produce. The only difference between Peterson and your avg. deadbeat is that Peterson at least has the money (for now) to pay his child support obligations, while the deadbeat's children are supported by the taxpayers

Well, the kid who just died was living in South Dakota (I think?) with the baby momma and baby momma's boyfriend. I doubt the kid knew AP much at all.

I think that this is a sign of the type of irresponsible behavior that suggests that not long after he retires AP will start to be strapped for cash. At that point the taxpayers may very well end up getting stuck with the bill.

I somewhat see your point in the fact that he may be upholding a financial obligation, and that keeps him from being a deadbeat.
And Chuck's "I am not a role model" speech is appropriate here.
With that said, I will say that the behavior of indiscriminately father multiple children by multiple different women is detrimental to society. The fact that he has the money to pay the support doesn't make the behavior right. There are a lot more responsibilities to fatherhood than just being a check.
The sad fact is this behavior is epidemic in our society today, and dont think its confined to one ethnic group.
No, it's no APs job to "set an example" and go judge him on that would be wrong. But to excuse a bad pattern of behavior because he has the money to take away one negative result of it is not right either

If you have 7 kids by 5 mothers spread across the country, it doesnt matter the amount of money you send. You are not a good father. You are not a father. And if you want to call him a father then i would implore you to precede it with the word delinquent or any other degrading and accurate adjective you can think of.

Show me proof that he isn't a good father to his kids outside of his financial responsibilities. And don't bring up the one that just died, because AD didn't even know he existed until very shortly before he died.
I agree that having a ton of kids with different mothers is inherently irresponsible and can make it hard to always be there, but we don't know what kind of father he is to any of these kids.
Before I go and bash him and call him a shitty example and a stain on society, I'd want to hear from one of the 5 mothers that he is a non-existant father figure.
