And don't say hammer or nail ...

And I love Les!!!

Stupid question referring to las year where UF was the hamme to LSUs nail, les took exception.

Next question was about hunter, lea complimented him then the follow up was if they talked to hi about getting his hands up more and les we totally sarcastic and comedic mode

LSU played like a son of a bitch.
LSU ain't no freaking nail...

Les taught a DE how to properly use his arms in practice this week and it worked!

Have a good day!

Stupid answer? HA!

Les used a near-allegory to make a great point. If it went over anyone's head, that doesn't make Les the idiot, but rather the person who couldn't figure it out.

If you couldn't decipher his response, it may be a listener problem.

It was a great answer. The man really respects the game and the young men that play it.

Basically told the reporter that we were right there last year and should have won the game had we not turned the ball over. He told the reporter that we were not dominated last year and that it was an evenly matched game that 2 great teams played and took their best swing at each other. He basically was telling the reporter not to refer to his players as a nail getting hammered when he thought his guys "fought like a son of a bitch" and could have come away with victory. One thing about Les I love is that he does not let the media down talk his players and will go to bat for them immediately if it happens.

Look, I only heard it on ESPN once and I basically heard a bunch of bleeps (which can be "indecipherable") and somebody talking like football Yoda. Maybe ESPN was trying to make it seem more interesting by putting in unnecessary bleeps and stuff...I don't know. I do admit to having trouble understanding Les Miles at times, and if that makes one an idiot, then I'm an idiot.

I like Les, we beat Florida and played well so I'm happy. I think it was a dumb question.

It was basically, "Hey, annoying reporter wannabe, you're using some asinine 'hammer, nail' metaphor not because it even remotely describes the game we just played or the one we played last year, but because it fits the story some nincompoop in Bristol, CT told you to write. Your approach is not only horseshite journalism, but it disrespects two fine football teams that played two tough, close games. So sit down and STFU. Also, have a great day!"
Close enough, guys?
