Besides Dylan Moses and Garrett Brumfield and Nick Brosette, who else should I pay attention to?

I'm here. Cheering for Parkview, Brumfield, and Moses. I'm conflicted.

Moses didn't get any carries? Brossette had a big game.

37 carries 194 yards and 2 TD

Still surprised Moses didn't have a carry. Guess they figure he could expend all his energy on defense because Brossette can take care of the ground game.

U-High 42
Parkview 35

Manny miles 15-20 200...somethings yards, 4 TD 1 INT

Dad thought #8 had a pretty good game after being out the past couple of weeks. Devonte Dotson's speed killed PBS-what, 3 TD's? And Greg Bowser's son had his best game of the season. Playoff atmosphere, big win for us.

bowser and 8 had an awful lot of tackles..

really noticed 8 when PBS started trying to throw.

really noticed 8 kicking in pre game

4 is as advertised for sure.

11 made quite a few big time plays 2 big catches in heavy coverage then separation.

had a handful of coaches sitting near us

30 looks like he is gonna be a player - one guy sitting by us thought he was someone else.

this division is gonna be a handful in playoffs..

sTm, curtis, eca, uhigh, pbs, ND... even if lhsaa gets a curveball right before playoffs and 4a selects end up well.. nevermind...

neither team really stopped the other one, except when they stopped themselves.

He hadn't played in a couple of weeks due to an AC sprain versus Brusly, so they eased him back into the rotation. He was on the field a lot in the second half, thought he played pretty well.

Too bad there aren't more coaches that like to give scholarships to kickers like Les does. He only started kicking in August, with a little more formal training, I think he could be a D1 kicker. The leg is definitely there. My older son's free education via TOPs is about to break me, a free ride for #2 would let Daddy retire before 70.

yeah once PBS had early TO in 2nd half they had to change scheme a bit.

i was with one prior to the game - there are several ways to skin that cat.... saw me and my son walking up and came right over and asked if he was hurt or suspended - didn't realize he "retired" from FB...

what I thought was comical is two assistant coaches that were playing each other the next day went to the game with each other and out to eat after game..

actually both kickers were noticed in pre game.

has he kicked off ground much?

yeah one of my friends kids is being recruited by tulane for another sport.. and the parents just found out what their out of pocket expenses would be with partial offer.... hattiesburg looking good..

PBS kicker is one of my best friend's son. He and my son have known each other since they were little. That's Baton Rouge for you.

He has some. Said it doesn't bother him much-all that leg came from being an All-State soccer player. One of our assistant coaches told me last week that the entire staff is sick that they never even asked him to try kicking until this season almost started...

He caused that one. They were killing us with the FB dive in the first half, they went to run that on the second play, he grabbed the FB and reached out with his right hand and swiped it out of the QB's hands. There are advantages to being 6'5".

Looked to be a good athlete-very good size.

Reminded me of Herb Tyler's kid that plays QB for Newman. Not very big, but elusive. If he grows some, he looks to have PBS set at QB. I know it wasn't easy replacing the entire starting backfield.

I knew Mahaffey relied on Nick heavily, but that is an absurd number of carries for one RB.

If you had watched him circle the field with a U-High flag afterwards, he looked as fresh as when the game started. After being limited in practice all week. He is a horse-I've been watching him since his 8th grade year and he still amazes me.

Miles just said on his "lunch presser" that he stopped by to watch the U-High Cubs play the Parkview Baptists....
