21. Challenges - Complete various tasks to earn rewards
22. Classic mode. Different to 3DS. Based on how well you survive. Also have rival and challenges. Can be played with 2 players
23. Clear movies. Each fighter has a short movie when completing Classic Mode
24. All-Star mode. Fight newer characters before fighting the earlier fighters. Can be played 2-players
25. Event mode. Another game mode, different rewards
26. Smash Run not on WiiU. Smash Tour on WiiU. Like a board game, advance around the map and collect powerups (similar to Smash Run) and fighters.
27. Target Blast. 2nd bomb is bigger, 3 types of stages
28. Stadium Mode - Up to 4 players can play the mini-games.
29. Special orders - Master/Crazy hand give you orders to complete matches. Crazy orders = harder
30. Master Fortress - new form for master hand, which is a massive fortress
31. Tons of controller options. WiiRemote, Nunchuk, Gamepad, Classic Controller/Pro, wiiu pro controller, Gamecube controller, 3DS.
32. Gamecube controller adapter. Special Smash bros. controller
33. Using 3DS to play on WiiU
34. Connecting to 3DS. Can transfer custom fighters
35. Tons of trophies. More trophies than ever before
36. Final Smash Trophies
37. Trophy Box. Trophies displayed in boxes
38. Photo studio. Can manipulate characters to look how you want
39. Trophy Rush = Collect trophies quickly
40. Masterpieces. Play demos of older games. Can buy fuill game from eShop
41. Amiibo. Can level up as you fight them, become smarter and smarter. Can have Amiibo fight each other
42. Internet Connection. Wii LAN Adapter compatible
43. Automatic notifications - see recent topics of discussion
44. Can 2-player online mode as a team
45. Tournys. Can host tournys (not out yet). Can set conditions and join tournys
46. Tournaments. Up to 64 players can fight. Can watch replays
47. Gamepad screen. Can show damage as well as action
48. Paint. Take picture of gameplay, then use gamepad to draw on them. Can send them online in the future
49. Voicechat. Can talk when played with friends, can't talk during battle for connection.
50. Stage builder. Can draw stages, add traps and other areas, there are 5 themes, can add own music.
51. Sharing. Will be adding later. Ability to share stages, fighters, photos, replays with friends/online
OTHERS: Both version share: For Glory, For Fun, battling with friends, Conquest, Spectate, World Stats, Replays, Buttons, Sounds, Internet, Rules, Smash Battles, Team Smash, Training, Trophy Shop, Albums, Sound Test, Records, Stats, Milestones, Tips and more.
52. NEW FIGHTER: Bowser Jr. Mewtwo - available if you purchase both 3DS and WiiU versions. Still in development. Scheduled for Spring 2015.

The dumb, "Purchase our game twice," piece. At least it's only one character.

That's bullshite for purchasing both versions to play as Mewtwo. Glad he's here, but they're eventually going to have to relent on that and make him playable on both versions regardless of purchase.

Naaa he's right that tweet clears it up 100%. There will be a promo period, probably like free game MK8, where owners of both can get it for free. Everyone else will pay for it.

Nintendo's Marketing Team is one of the worst on the planet, this much is true. They had no idea to just simply TELL people that the gamepad was not the WiiU and the WiiU was a new system.
On and the name WiiU.

Those guys are terrible. "Just telling" is a complicated concept for them.

Will the smash bros wii u with gc controller and adapter be available in stores on launch day?

I would be surprised if it isn't.
