Texans already have a qb that cannot move or run, why would they pic another one?

yeah, Peyton Manning is really struggling with that problem, too.

Mett will be a Top 5 selection.

He'll have Daniels and Graha, and both Hopkins and Johnson to throw to. He'll have a top 10 defense and a legit runnning game. It's a plug and play sytem for him.

I think Collins should definitely go before Kouanajo and Henderson who look like shite. Collins keeps Mett clean on his blindside and I don't think he's allowed a sack or hardly any pressure from his end.

Landry could sneak in if he can continue his production on projection.

He could finish with 1334 yards and 15 TDs in 13 games. Couple that with game tape and combine and he is a first rounder baby.

At the pace he's on, that is certainly possible.

frick the Texans for drafting Montgomery and trying to convert him into some 3-4 hybrid linebacker. Guy should have been a standard 4-3 DE.

They have already switched him back to DE

After watching that defense get obliterated by fricking Tony Romo, I like our chances.

Man... the way that Schaub has been completely obliterated on and off the field lately, the "Mettsiah" talk would be unreal here in Houston if that draft choice were to happen and Mett continues to play as he has been doing so lately.

Of course, there are those that are clamoring for T.J. Yates and/or Case Keenum to start over Schaub. I really doubt one of those two is the answer over Schaub, but it would be nice to break this string of consecutive Pick 6's the Texans have been having. Even though I am a Saints fan before a Texans fan, I'd love to see a Tiger at the helm in Houston for my own selfish reasons!

I like how it has the Saints losing to the Broncos in the Super Bowl with NOLA#31 and DEN#32

This. Book it. Also, I bet its the Pats. Them trading Mallette and some of their stockpiled picks to move up and get Met as an eventual replacement for Brady is not out of the realm of possibility.

Not that I dislike the Texans, but if they started another QB and that QB threw a pick 6 I would be rolling.

Bad fit. Texans live to bootleg. It requires a QB with better movement than Mettenberger.

Damn, this class sure does have a shot at beating out Elway and Marino's class' once they are all done in the NFL. For a guy like Murray to be thought of as the 6th best in the nation is silly deep.

Also, I don't know why this guy would put Manzel over Mett in the NFL. A draft analyst should know better than that. On Sundays, no coach wants his QB having to scramble around and improvise. He wants his QB cool and on time with his execution, etc. I just don't see Johnny as a long term starter or first round pick for that simple reason. I especially don't see him rated above a prototypical pro style guy like Mett as long as Mett finishes close to the level that he has maintained thus far.
