He's not getting any younger. This was supposed to be his comeback year and it's pretty much gone at this point.

He would have benefited by staying and maturing at LSU...but that almighty $$$$$...and the majority of time, it just makes more and bigger problems for so many players...'tis a pity..but it is what it is!

And we would not have won a title in 2007 if he did.

Only as a band-aid. Locker went down. Nobody would pick him up for any reason other than desperation.

You must have read a different article. Nothing in the one I read said his knee was "kaput". It said he was rehabbing his knee.

So you are the official spokesman on the thoughts of all NFL teams. You have some contact with each team to determine what they will or will not do. Were the Bears desperate when they looked at him as a backup QB before the season began?
