Even my wife played clash of clans when it first came out and we were both off with our first kid. It is addicting but eventually you either have to be on all the time or spend money as the upgrades get very expensive.
I feel like I have a lot more horizontal advancement and activity I can do on castle clash that does not require money or time. Simple things like not rebuilding troops, more single player activities, easier to obtain resources. It fits me better.

Also, another question for the android folks. What is there some trick to obtaining merits that I don't know?
Right now I get my merits from maxing out the expedition daily and the 4 mesa 1s the guild does daily.
Any advice on managing mesa battles is also welcome. On IOS, folks always get left out because we only have 3 PDs.
My desire for merits now is to get mythic crests, I am on lvl 17 of the lost realm and I have maybe seen 2 or 3, if that.

You can run Mesa 2 with 2 strong PDs (140+).
My guild of 2 people runs mesa 2 with a 156 PD, 133 Pd, and a 108 PD.
You get much better rewards for Mesa 2. 150 merits, 4-9 green essence and 2-5 blue essence. Yesterday I got a mythic chest and got 2 purple essence in it, and you can get hero slots or dungeon refresh cards as well.

Would like a little help. I've been farming "H" on HBM, I can do "I" about half the times I've tried. The spirit mages really mess me up, they destroy all my buildings before I can get them killed. My heroes can survive until stage 5 of I but my buildings can't. 4 of my towers are level 9 and the one is level 7 upgrading to 8.
Here's the heroes I've been using.
Thunder God: 142, 5/9, Wargod 1/5, Flameguard 1/5, inscription 80
Druid: 140, 5/9, Revive 3/5, Sprint 2/5 (have this mainly for raids) inscription 69

are you putting 20-25 guardians in your army camps? they absorb most mage procs

I've got 2 accounts the one without a PD has heroes 135-145 range
Druid, Spirit mage, TG, Immort (bought with shards), Grizz Reaper (bought with shards), Cupid. It isn't nearly as good as my 2nd account which has a PD and an Aries. It's unreal the difference a PD makes.

I don't get why some people with attack me and spend more money on spells than they can loot. Spend 60K in spells to loot 20K gold and 20K mana.

Probably to complete a raid quest. I do that all the time since I always have extra gold.
