This is certainly the most important issue that must be addressed now!

If Obama had a football team...

quote:

UPDATE 1:23 p.m. ET: Lanny Davis, an attorney and spokesman for the Redskins, told NBC’s Kristen Welker: “As a supporter of President Obama, I am sure the president is not aware that in the highly respected Annenberg Institute poll (taken 2004) with a national sample of Native Americans, 9 out of 10 Native Americans said they were not bothered by the name the ‘Washington Redskins.’ The president made these comments to the Associated Press, but he was apparently unaware that an April 2013 AP poll showed that eight out of ten of all Americans in a national sample don’t think the Washington Redskins name should be changed.

I feel like this would lead down a road we don't want to be on...

Ex. If we change the Redskins then we'd have to change Bama WR Chris Black to Chris African-American

damn the guy can't even express a personal opinion without you people shitting all over him.

i have a lot of issues with the guy as well but the way a lot of people go so over the top in their criticism makes me end up having to defend him.

I read somewhere where some douche bag in the media said that if even one person is offended, it needs to change.

Sadly, that fricked up mentality is becoming all too commonplace.

I defend the guy all the time.

But this isn't one of those times.

The BS shutdown and economy are more important than the word Redskins

He should have said the country has more pressing matters
