Just in time for our scheduled Snapper weekend...........

EAST WINDS 40 TO 50 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO NEAR
65 KNOTS RISING TO 50 TO 60 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 75 KNOTS IN
THE AFTERNOON. SEAS 18 FEET BUILDING TO 22 FEET IN THE AFTERNOON.
PROTECTED WATERS EXTREMELY ROUGH. RAIN LIKELY IN THE MORNING.
CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THE DAY. RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON.

That's ok. The government will be shut down for a few weeks, which is kind of like an extension of the season.

although offshore is out of the question you may be able to mop up on reds on sunday afternoon when the wind switches to the north and forces all that high water out.

Water will be extra high. Fish will be harder to come by.

yeah if i had to guess the water will be spilling into parking lots by the end of the day down on the lower reaches of the coastal parishes. A 15-20 mph south wind for a day or two usually does that in Cocodrie so i assume the same in Grand Isle.
