I hope to hell I am eliminated this week.

I figure if I get knocked out, then the Falcons season is just about over at 1-4 with 2 home losses.

If they win however, I will feel very dirty and pick the Jaguars next week against the Broncos.

Well, you're donzo's then. Right now, I have 0 faith they can win a game unless they're given a 42 point lead in the 1st half. Even then... It's a toss up.

I would absolutely love to see the Falcons go up 42-0 against the Jets and then lose

If the Falcons lose to the Jets, they should just fold the franchise.

The Falcons were 258-381-3 (.352) before Mike Smith got there. They are 57-27 (.679) with him. If he is able to get them over the hump remains to be seen, and is starting to look like he's likely not it. But his record speaks for itself on whether he is a good coach.

It's the players that have gotten/earned that record since 2008 IN SPITE of Mike Smith. Now that a lot of those players are old/banged up, coaching should be weathering this storm, but it's not.

Want a perfect example? NE. They have just as many injuries & new guys as Atlanta and they're 4-0. That game was tied 10-10 at half-time Sunday night. One coach made adjustments and mixed things up... the other got an arse beating.

As for the Matt Ryan hate (not you NGT - the others), stop children. You're trying too hard if you don't think he's consistently a top 10 QB.

I'd agree with that but it'd be hard for me to say he's top 5.

Manning
Brees
Brady
Rodgers

That's clearly your top 4 year in and year out. Sometimes Ryan plays close to that level and other times he plays like Romo.

You're always so close to making a good post, then you ruin it somehow with your blind Falcons defensiveness.

Yeah Mike Smith has definitely been a huge reason for some losses. A lot of head scratchers.

+ whoever had a good week last week

That seems to be the standard that can be used week in, week out - for the last few years.

I picked the Birds in week 2. I'm going with the Rams this week.
