Bears fans predict the score of this game... you'd swear they are Saints fans lmao!

LINK /

These guys have no confidence. Nice to see this Saints team getting the respect it deserves once again. It seems people around the league are all believers again that we are Super Bowl contenders... after the world watched us destroy the Phins... everyone fears us now.

Here's some favorite quotes from this board....

quote:

I have zero optimism for this game after watching Brees rip the Dolphins to shred last night.

In predict the saints embarrass us at home.

Cutler gets another horrible performance whitewashed by the Tebow-like fans we have.

And the defense is demonized once again, while Cutler looks like a fish out of water.

I go with JABF99's view that Cutler displays another 'deer in headlights' performance.

quote:

Brees is going to absolutely rip our defense. I have been racking my brain to see a way to win.

1. Bears make 0-1 turnovers. Saints make 3-4.
2. Forte/Bush rush 26-30 times for 150-200 yds.
3. Super ball control passing game. Dink-n-dunk. Long drives. Eat up the clock. Keep ball away from Brees.

Anyway, that's my fantasy game plan, but it is not what I am expecting.
quote:

No DL pressure =LB blitzing=Brees picking apart the D. Brees won't throw into double coverage like Jay will. Rob Ryan's D will surprise the Bears O. No 4th quarter heroics this time.

Saints 31
Bears 14
quote:

Saints 45

Bears 23

Brees is going to eat this defense alive.
quote:

Brees throws a pick six, Devin takes one to the house, Jay has 2 TDs to Marshall and Jefffery and Bush gets a 2 yard TD, Robbie kicks a 50 yarder.
Bears 38
Saints 40

I just don't see how we win this one

Playing the Bears at home will be a tough game. Their defense seems to always take one to the house, and Brees does love his timely interceptions. I'd feel better if we had a running game to prevent us from going one dimesional.

This game could go either way, but I just don't see us blowing them out.

Agreed.

MNF belongs to the Saints...and in much the same way Soldier Field is our kryptonite (or has been in the CSP era at least).

I like us to win, but it won't be a blow out. Not by a long shot.

Maybe.

But on paper, we're easily the superior team.

Their fans are just pissy cuz they lost last weekend. As much as I hate to admit it, I have serious doubts about the saints winning in Chicago with absolutely no run game. I'm thinking a win in New England is more likely.

Anyone have PFF numbers on Chicago's pass rush? They're ranked 30th in sacks and I've read that Peppers isn't really playing at a high level.

short week…. away game… and i think Payton is going to try to stick to the run game, even if it's not really working because of the questions everyone keeps throwing at him about it (thanks, media..)

i could see Trestman getting the ball out of Cutler's hands quick with a bevy of slant routes, seeing as that was open all night vs. the Dolphins (they just didn't complete them)…

not saying we're gonna lose, but if we do, i could see reasons as to why….

that being said, our defense is light years ahead of last season, and our offense is starting to hit a stride, at least passing the ball…

gonna be interesting, and of course i'll miss it live because i'll be fricking driving back from Houston...

I am more scared of Soldier Field than I am of the Bears, the ball never bounces are way there.

No No and frick no.

Payton will throw that ball all day long if we aren't running effectively. He gives exactly zero fricks what "the media" asks him about our running game. Need proof? Watch his post game interview from Monday.

Taking a whole team into account is a little funky (since PFF is made to rank individual players), but this is what we got.

PFF has their pass rush ranked 29th.
Ours is ranked 6th.

I'm actually confident about this game. The defense is just playing too sound. The offense might have some hiccups, but Payton and Brees will adjust.

Guys, this team is special. They're not perfect. There are some things we need to fix, but the depth of talent we have is amazing.

Definitely won't be a blow out.

The Bears at home are tough, plus the Saint have a tendency to derp at Soldier field. I just hope the derp isn't too bad.

If they keep playing solid football on D, the O will move the ball and they'll win a close one. I have the Saints by a TD.

Also, our pass rush should play a part.
PFF ranks their pass protection 27th.

My companys headquartered in Chicago and all of the higher-ups are so down on Cutler and the Bears (despite the record). they can't even give suite or field level tickets away and have to send menacing emails weekly to get reps and managers to find customers/prospects to drag to the games... it's insane

I was a little worried, but remembered that jay cutler will more than likely remember he is jay cutler and start spraying the ball to our defense.

This is a retarded statement. We've played there 3 times during the SP era, all three in Dec/Jan. The first was the NFC CG, the second was a virtually meaningless last game of the season where we lost by 8 and PT went 100/100n and the third we lost by a FG in OT. That last one was in 2008.

Basically, none of those games has any relevance to this week.

Other than the fact that they've never won there....nope, none.

Right now, those Dec/Jan games are the precedent. They have to prove otherwise. I think they do, but until then, its all we got.
