I manage the Nuclear Medicine and Brachytherapy programs at a very large teaching hospital in Tampa.

After salary and bonuses I'm generally around $100K plus a few dollars in investment returns hopefully. The major win for me is the very good healthcare benefits for the family and I plus the 37-40 days of paid vacation each year...

I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I'd take a substantial cut in pay to get more vacation. I get 5 days.

Not really. That is a decent salary for a Civil Engineering EI.

I knew many CE grads that started around $40k.

Most people would. I'm not opposed to my first few years out of college being arse busting 21 on 7 off type shite. I kind of need it to be.

Afterwards, pay will play 2nd fiddle to location and vacation/benefits.
